ISS PLAYS KASILAG's DIVERTISSEMENT

Dr. Ingrid Sala Santamaria has performed Dr. Lucrecia R. Kasilag's DIVERTISSEMENT for Piano and Orchestra several times in different venues with different orchestras and conductors. In a performance at Manila's LUNETA Rizal Park "Concert at the Park" series, Santamaria once played with the Metro Manila Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the composer herself. For this YouTube VINTAGE LIVE Series from the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Dr. Santamaria has chosen her performance of this work at the CCP with CCP Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Prof. Luis Valencia on January 28, 1978. This VINTAGE upload comes as a timely, fitting tribute from Dr. Santamaria for Dr. Kasilag as the latter's centennial year is celebrated and remembered in August 2018.
