Is pregnancy outside of uterus possible if only ovaries & cervix are present? - Dr. Teena S Thomas

Ectopic pregnancy is something that happens outside the womb of the woman, doesn’t happen inside the uterus. It can be in the tubes, the ovaries,in the cervix, or anywhere. Partial hysterectomy is a condition is a condition where the uterus is removed but the ovaries and the cervix i.e. the neck of the womb is left behind. The chances are very less, but there is a possibility that if a pregnancy happens it is ectopic only because anyhow the uterus is not there. These are very rare since the ovaries are working and the cervix is opened up a little there can be transfer of sperm into the abdomen and possibility of rare ectopic is always there. It is to be ruled out but the chances are very less.
