Hey guys,
So Essential just released the Android 8.1 Oreo update for the Essential Phone PH-1. The update has been in the works for a long time now with many Essential Phone PH-1 users, utilizing the beta option to use the beta version while the final version was being worked on.
The Essential Phone is one of the first phones besides the Google Pixel 2/Google Pixel 2 XL to get the Android 8.1 update, and it’s a very welcome one.
This update promised to fix a lot of the software bugs/issues that riddled the phone on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat).
After using the phone for about a day and a half after updating, I already see a huge boost in reliability, stability, and overall performance of the Essential Phone PH-1.
So in this video I’ll be covering:
Boot Up Speed Test: 1:02
Benchmarks: 1:43
Changes/Updates To The Software: 3:42
