Dena is an Iran Khodro car unveiled on April 16, 2011. Dena is going to be manufactured in 2012. It is estimated it will be priced between 16K-24K USD, depending on the variant and options.[2] Dena will be the substitute of Samand in non-domestic markets after its mass production start phase.[3] Dena project was outlined in March 2010 and could reach to the operational phase in February 2011 which is considered as a record in car production process, says IKCO.[3] "Dena" is a 4448 meters high mountain mounted 35 km form the north-west of Yasuj, in western Iran. There is also a city named Dena in which this mountain dwells. IKCO has chosen this name to mark this car as a symbol of technology improvement and the company's top goals.[2]
