Pelosi, III, MD, cosmetic gynecologist and cofounder of the International Society of Cosmetogynecology (ISCG), outlines the steps for effective introitoplasty ("vaginal tightening", vaginoplasty, "vaginal rejuvenation"). He explains the nuances that distinguish various types of vaginal operations used to achieve these and similar goals including colporrhaphy, perineorrhaphy, perineoplasty, colpoperineoplasty, colpoperineorrhaphy, and levator myorrhaphy using laser, radiofrequency, or sharp techniques. The surgical anatomy of these procedures is explained thoroughly for a complete understanding of the strategies involved. Finally, Dr. Pelosi takes the viewer through critical steps of actual procedures demonstrating anatomy and surgical technique in the operating room emphasizing key points and maneuvers for successful outcomes. Despite the seemingly extensive nature of a well-executed vaginoplasty, it requires no hospitalization. Most patients are fit to fly home on the day after surgery and most patients return to work in a few days. Complete healing time is approximately six weeks.
