International Kite Festival 2020 - Ahmedabad Kite Festival 2020 at Riverfront

The International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad was inaugurated by Gujarat Governor O P Kohli on Sunday. Ahmedabad has been hosting the International Kite Festival since 1989, as part of the official celebration of Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan. Kite flying developed as a major sport when it was taken up by the kings and Nawabs of India. About Kite Festival A festival that marks the transition of winter to summer and also the beginning of harvest season. The international Kite festival is among the most prominent festivals that are celebrated in Gujarat. Ahmedabad, where the main event takes place, becomes an Adobe for visitor from all over the world. Our team was invited at the opening ceremony to interact with the participants from across the globe and many from across India as well, people had a different level of energy and excitement to be a part of this awesome festival.
