This edition of “Inside JCCC” takes you through the College’s art museum, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art (NMOCA). The museum is named after the Nerman family in recognition of their gift to help found an art museum for Johnson County Community College. The museum opened on campus in 2007 encompassing 41,000 square feet across two floors making it the largest contemporary art museum in the four state region. The museum houses ten galleries, a 200 seat auditorium, classrooms for children and adults, a new media gallery, 110 seat café, and a special gallery dedicated exclusively to Kansas artists.
