INDONESIA: Legong dance , Bali (HD-video)

Footage of Legong dance at Aditiya restaurant, Lovina (Bali). Many restaurants in Bali offer such dances during dinnertime. Dancers perform nearly every night in different hotels. The Legong dancers are usually very young, traditionally not older than 15 years. The emphasis lies on expression of face and by fingers. The traditional Legong has only three dancers. The dance relates how a king takes a maiden captive and what happens then. But I think that what we see is not often the original story. It is difficult to get used to the music, but the girls are always very pretty and graceful and that makes you forget about that.
