A man has had a very lucky escape after narrowly avoiding being hit by a train.

In a video shared by the British Transport Police, an unknown man can be seen pushing between barriers at at Brimsdown Level Crossing in Enfield, Hertfordshire.

After forcing his way through the gate he casually makes his way onto the tracks, making it across just in time as a train whizzes past.

The incident was caught on camera on May 5.
