IMF boss swaps hotel luxury for New York jail

IMF boss Dominique Strauss-Kahn and his legal team have been dealt their first blow after a New York judge refused to grant him bail. It means the man who normally oversees the world economy will have to sit it out behind bars until his next court appearance on Friday. That is when evidence against him will be presented to a grand jury to see if there is a case to answer.
