ILLUSTRATOR TUTORIAL | How to Draw an Isometric Building

How to Draw an Isometric Building In Illustrator For this video, we're going to be giving you an in-depth lesson on how to create an isometric building in Illustrator! It all begins with a simple square, which we'll duplicate, recolor, and rotate so as to assemble into a cube. This cube will serve as the foundation for our building. With the lasso tool, we'll select the corners of the cube and stretch it into a building; repeating the process, we'll design the base of the building. The 'extrude & bevel' tool will be of particular use to us for this part of the process, as it'll enable us to isometrically adjust our text and shapes. To add the windows, we'll turn our rudimentary rectangles into isometric shapes using the '3D' tool and duplicate them with the 'transform' tool. We'll determine the angle at which to place the windows using some basic trigonometry (don't worry - we've included a website to help us non-mathematicians!) and once that's over we'll top the design off by adding some decorative isometric trees.
