'If Yingluck Shinawatra is impeached no one will protest' says Thailand's Deputy PM

The charges, which Ms Shinawatra has disputed, are centred around her role in a controversial rice subsidy scheme in 2011, which critics have said cost billions of dollars. Security has been tightened around parliament ahead of the decision, expected on Friday. 8 months ago military officers seized power of the country and promised to introduce 'true democracy'.
