I don't know my 7 Banis (prayers) can I still ask for Amrit?

A question from the Sangat was asked if they were able to receive Amrit despite not knowing the Nitnem Banis (Japji, Jaap, Svaye, Chaupai, Anand, Rehras and Sohila Sahib).
