I Define Myself: Undocumented and Unafraid Panel Discussion

The UIC Latino Cultural Center held an opening reception of the photography exhibit "I Define Myself: Undocumented and Unafraid", and a panel discussion about President Obama's announcement on "Deferred Action." Learn about this new administrative measure from leaders of the Filipino, Latino, and Polish communities as they share their stories and discuss the local and national political frameworks that affect undocumented students. Panelists: Abel Nuñez, Centro Romero; Agata Czyzewska and Carla Navoa, Immigrant Youth Justice League; Luis Gutierrez, Latinos Progresando. Moderator: Amalia Pallares, Latin American and Latino Studies Program.
