From the 1982 Hubert Kah album, “Meine Höhepunkte”.
Hubert Kah comprised three gentlemen, Hubert Kemmler, Markus Löhr and Klaus Hirschburger. Their debut album, “Meine Höhepunkte”, and its follow-up, “Ick Komme” were released right in the heart of the German new wave era (“Neue Deutsche Welle” or simply “NDW”) and gave rise to two hit singles, “Rosemarie” and “Sternenhimmel”.
The “Meine Höhepunkte” album reached #7 on the German album chart. It was the group’s most successful German album.
By 1984, Hubert Kah teamed with Michael Cretu and began recording English language albums and providing backing vocals for Sandra, another artist produced by Michael Cretu. First off for the new team, though, was “Engel 07”, which was translated into “Angel 07” for its US release.
