Kopi, is a malay word for coffee. Coffee produced in Malaysia taste very different from the western coffee, and we believe it is due to the difference in the roasting procedure and even the roasting apparatus/machine. The coffee used in this video originates from Tanjung Sepat, a small town in Kuala Langat, Selangor, Malaysia. The uncle uses Planta to roast the coffee beans on a charcoal fired giant roasting pan (whatever they call it...). Thus the coffee has a very unique smell and taste. As for the brewing method, traditional coffee shops in Malaysia uses the sock filter (that's really what they call it). Since it is so unique, we thought of sharing this with all of you! If you happen to visit any traditional coffee house in Malaysia, don't forget to give this kopi a try! Visit our blog: http://matchacakeandwine.blogspot.com
