How to stop getting emails from Facebook 2018

Hi Paul here from Prwilson Media. Are you getting a lot of emails about your Facebook activity? Just updates from people you are connected with and all that sort of thing? Would you like to know how to turn that off? Because often it can really be distracting and you get the messages anyway when you are in Facebook. Here's how it's done. So you are logged in, as your personal Facebook profile. Go here to the top right hand corner and select settings. And then here, you get notifications. So click there. What we are looking at today is the email. So I click here - under edit,. So as you can see the standard is to get all notifications except ones that you unsubscribe from. And you can see all the different ones you can choose to switch on or off. Now that could be quite a number , especially the more active you start to become on Facebook. So the other two options here are "important notifications" things you might have missed or just notifications actually about your account itself , any changes to the settings that sort of thing. Quite simply, I would go for this one everytime. And just confirm it turn off. The reason being is that when you log in to Facebook either from mobile or on your PC regularly you'll see the notifications anyway so you are just doubling up. So it's more of a difficulty because your inbox could be one you use for other work purposes and therefore if it's clogged up with lots of messages from Facebook. that you don't need to see it's much simpler to just turn it off. So once you've done that you can have a look at the other options. There's live video settings, I've got that turned off . Any offers - turn those off, and these are automatically off because we've said turn off all notifications. You can turn on any individual ones that you still want to receive. You could even go for text messages if you have a mobile phone linked to your account and desktop and mobile. You could have the notifications in your actual browser itself. I've got that turned off at the moment. So that's how you do it , you basically go to settings and then notifications and then click the email section.
