How to replace belts in a Sony TC-WR635S cassette deck

Here's a guide on how to repair a Sony tape deck. Mine is a TC-WR635S, but yours should have a similar assembly. When a cassette deck stops working, it's mostly due to dry or melted rubber belts in the system. You can buy replacement belts on the Internet and replace the worn out ones. In my deck, the belts were stretched out. Your belts may be either stretched out or broken. If yours are melted, be sure the remove the rubber stains before re-assembling the system. If you open the housing, you will see that the metal eject plate is blocked by a white poece of plastic when you press eject. You can use a screwdriver to press down the plastic to eject the door. Then, you can remove the face plates from the doors to prevent them from getting scratched during repair.
