Ta-KiTa KiTaTaKu Di-KiTa KiTaTaKu Tom-KiTa KiTaTaKu Nam-KiTa KiTaTaKu "Ki" is a closed bass sound. "Ku" is the open bass sound. To play "TaTa" hit with 3 fingers (middle, ring and little finger) first, then with forefinger, it should require a slight rotating movement of the wrist. * Although self education should be strictly avoided as with any other Indian classical instruments, I am putting this video as a memorandum for there seems to be no English nor Japanese information about how to play the thavil on the web at all. * Teacher is Mr. Ishii Hidenori, a khanjira/thavil player studying music in Tamil-Nadu. *Currently there is no subtitle in this video. I am planning to add some in the near future. * Further information will be annouced on http://d.hatena.ne.jp/uchuuyarou/ * Some more texts in this article http://d.hatena.ne.jp/uchuuyarou/20130606/1370499234
