How to Paint Vlad Von Carstein

THAT'S RIGHT, PLAYAHS!!! It's a Warboss Taetorial on how to paint a creepy vampire lord for Warhammer Fantasy Battles. The great thing about the Vlad Von Carstein model is that it's such a dynamic, beautiful model (in metal, not Finecast), that you can use it to represent any Vampire Lord you want, or even use him to convert up a groovy looking Mephiston (right, letopizdetz? =D) Sorry for all the ranting I did in my last video. I'm just bitter that I keep getting fails in my finecast models. But, I've decided to grit my teeth and do the best I can with my model. At least, until I notice the hand guard that melted into the sword. If I saw THAT when I bought it, I would've sealed the thing back up, taken it back to the store and said, "Finecast can suckle my knuckles. Good day, sir", then tip my imaginary fedora and walk out the door. Seriously, some things can be painted over, some things can be green stuffed, and some things you just have to say, "Nope. That is a deal breaker" and buy some Warmachine. =D Anyway, if you have a Vlad Von Carstein model and you were lucky enough to get him in metal, make a video response and show him off! I'd love to see some alternative paint schemes, and hear your tips on how you painted yours! Here are the paints I used on my model (all are GW paints, as that's all I have): Skin: Dheneb Stone Devlan Mud Badab Black Hair: Astronomicon Grey Badab Black Codex Grey Armor Highlight: Codex Grey Dark Gold: Calthan Brown Shining Gold Badab Black Devlan Mud Mithril Silver Creepy Ghost Cloak: Rotting Flesh Badab Black Sword and blood drop chain: Boltgun Metal Mithril Silver Wolf Cloak: Dark Flesh Khemri Brown Calthan Brown (claws) Snakebite Leather (claws) Devlan Mud Dheneb Stone Blood Drop Vials and Gem in Sword Scab Red or Red Gore (either will work as a base) Blood Red Blazing Orange Gloss Varnish Von Carstein Ring: Shining Gold Goblin Green Scorpion Green Base: Chaos Black Adeptus Battlegrey Codex Grey Dheneb Stone Flock with Scorched Grass Skull on Base: Dheneb Stone Badab Black As always, don't forget to leave me some Comments, Like the video (not the horrible finecast model!) and SUBSCRIBE if you haven't already, come on, what are you waiting for!?!
