Matt Killingsworth is a researcher and doctoral student in psychology at Harvard University, where he investigates the causes of human happiness and well-being. Leveraging his previous career in the software industry, he created www.trackyourhappiness.org to study happiness and its causes in everyday life using the iPhone. His research has been covered by the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, NPR, and Good Morning America, among others, and he came to Spain to share it with us during TEDxZaragoza.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
