Karela powder is very good for health, and it is very easy to make it and store it for a long time. this powder you can serve with fresh hot rice by adding little ghee. It is very good for diabetes patients. Ingredients: Karela pieces - 2 cups Channa dal - 1/4th cup Black grams- 1/4th cup Red chilies- 20 Dry tamarind- 10g Coconut powder- 4 tbsps Garlic cloves- 10 coarse sea salt Oil for frying PROCEDURE: First rinse with water all bitter gourds. then dry with paper towel. Now cut into thin circles. then let it dry on a counter top for an hour. If you have no time you can skip this step. Now take pan ans add all dry spices into the pan, except bitter gourd pieces and coconut powder, do not add any oil. Saute it out until you get a nice aroma, now transfer into a separate plate, let it cool down meanwhile add oil into the same pan, once the oil is ready to add bitter gourd pieces, stir it out on a medium flame until it turns out into golden brown color, now tun off stove and transfer pieces into a paper towel plate, if any excess oil is there, paper towel will absorb. Now transfer all dry ingredients into a blender and add bitter gourd pieces, coconut powder, salt.Make a coarse powder. do not make a fine powder.
