This is similar to an Ouija board in that it communicates with spirits. From stories I have heard, the most responses come from when a demon controls the board. Curiosity had me create a board that was specially designed to speak to demons specifically. This video is also a good way to learn some tips on how to gold leaf fine details in any project you may decide to do.
-------------------------------------------------------
I decided to visit some friends up in Chicago early winter last year. On my way driving up north I stopped by Voodoo shop in New Orleans and picked up some random stuff including a present for my friend. When I arrived in Chicago the voodoo doll sparked some conversations about magic, demons, voodoo, divination, Ouija boards and so on.
During the conversation we discussed how difficult it is to get any tangible responses from anything in magic, and it seemed the most powerful responses are those that people are weary of, such as demons. One of us got a terribly great idea to make a device that would be specifically used for contacting the single thing people try to avoid... demons.
We discussed the different things we could make and decided an Ouija board was already a door for an occasional demon to talk through. We took that idea and talked about how we could get it to attract demons. This idea is when all of the strange stuff started to happen.
That night after verbally planning out the design of the demon board the fire alarm in his house went off in the middle of the night. We had to unplug it because it was malfunctioning completely. I, being a skeptic, chalked it up to coincidence.
The next day we started printing out the demonic seals from the KoS and measuring and arranging them to get them to fit. After a while he went to sleep, I stayed up on one of his computers searching for "satanic symbols" "Demonic symbols" then "Satanic Signs" and then suddenly his Sat Radio came on with the song title, "Show me a Sign" displayed on the screen. It was weird enough for me to take a picture of the screen before the song was over. I still have the picture somewhere on my computer. I asked my friend the next morning if his radio ever did that before, he said no, never (And it has not done it since).
Still slightly skeptical, but now I am wondering if there is something going on, keeping the information close in my mind. We get the entire design of the board completed and we head out to a large format printing company to print a few copies off. He loaded it up, gave us a strange look, and printed a copy off. After he tries printing a second copy the computer crashes. He says it never happened before. He couldn't bring it back up either. He tried it on another computer and that computer wouldn't open the file now. He had to take the one he printed out, and scan it in, and print it out that way. After getting our prints completed as we discussed yet another very strange event while working on our board we decided to go home and call it a night.
The next night we decide to get drunk as shit, play some pool, and work on the board. (Nothing like power tools and accuracy mixed with alcohol.) We head up to the corner to get some Vodka and Kahlua to begin our drinking for the evening. The sun had set and a fresh layer of snow had built up on the hood of his car while we were inside. As we walked back to the car we saw a woman standing at the front of the car drawing something into the hood of the car with the snow. (Similar to writing "wash me" on an old dusty car). We asked her in a quizzical voice from a distance, "Can we help you??" She simply stopped writing and looked at us like WE were the crazy ones. "No... I'm fine." She writes for another second or two and then walks off. Naturally we walk up to see what fuck she was doing to the car, only to find a crescent moon and star written in the snow on the hood. (My friend took a photo of it too). The crescent moon and star was a symbol we had chosen for the board as it symbolizes Goddess Diana and "The Morning Star" as Lucifer.
We had some problems with leafing techniques and ran out of time, so we never completed it together. Only recently, a year later, did I decide to give it another try. He is making one in wood also, only instead of gold and silver, he is carving the symbols into wood.
With four separate events all related to the board, we had no choice but to conclude that even the discussion and creation of the board was enough to get some activity. I am genuinely nervous to actually USE the board given the amount of stuff that happened before the board even existed.
