Learn how to make sangria in a pumpkin keg! Making a keg out of a pumpkin is actually pretty easy. Plus it's a lot of fun and it's really cool to use a pumpkin as a keg to serve beverages - guests really get a kick out of it! Making The Pumpkin Keg - once you've hollowed out your pumpkin (just as you would if you were to carve up a jack-o-lantern), simply bore a hole sightly narrower than the spigot (pour spout thing) on a flat side of the pumpkin near the bottom. Then push the spigot into the pumpkin and start turning until the thread catches. Now it's time to make your sangria in the pumpkin - either white wine sangria or red wine sangria, it's your choice. White Wine Sangria in a Pumpkin Recipe: 1 bottle sweet white wine (we used Moscato) 1 litre of orange juice 1 can of club soda 4 oz of vodka 1 apple diced 2 oranges wedged 1 lemon or lime wedged frozen berries of choice ** For red wine sangria in your pumpkin keg instead of white wine sangria, you can follow exactly the same recipe above and simply swap out the white for the red. Remember, you can use these pumpkin kegs to serve any type of beverage - even non-alcoholic punch for your kids' party. If you liked the recipe, let us know in the comments.
