It is a really simple process, and the scoring knife will allow you to cut a nice circular hole in the cement board. This is useful for installing cement board in a shower or bath tub because the circular hole can be used to fit the pipes through! It is a quick process, and you can use the scoring knife to continue making the hole bigger until it is the size that you need it to be!
