How to Install Compiz on Ubuntu Mate 14.10

Today, I demonstrate how to add Compiz effects to Ubuntu Mate 14.10. To install, add the following packages to your system:   compiz   compiz-plugins   compiz-plugins-default   compiz-plugins-extra-main   compiz-plugins-main-default-extra   compizconfig-settings-manager After installing these packages, open the CompizConfig Settings Manager and select your preferences. Be sure to activate the Window Decoration plugin, or you will have no window borders. Activate Compiz by using the following command in the terminal: compiz --replace To launch compiz at startup, add an entry in your startup manager. Name the entry "Compiz" and use the following as the startup command: compiz --replace As always, thanks for watching.
