The Black Walnut Tree is native to the Eastern United States and parts of Canada and can be grown throughout a good bit of the US and Southern Canada. It is generally pest free and with a little bit of work you can harvest these nuts for use in baking or for eating them plain. They have a stronger flavor than English or Carpathian Walnuts. They can be used to make some of the best fudge and chocolate chip cookies you will ever eat. The tree and walnuts in this video are organically grown. I have harvested Black Walnuts since I was a kid, and they never required any type of spraying or fertilizing.
