Here are 3 simple steps on how to fix the rendering or editing crash problems (sony vegas not responding) some of you might have, i had both problems and had to go trough forums, youtube etc to find the solution.
So i tought i would share theese 3 that always made it work for me! Thanks for watching !
Incase none of this works:
i would defrag your hard drive(s), then try again. it takes ALOT of processing power to render video, so the more organized your PC is, the faster it will work.
also, whenever possible, you should use UNCOMPRESSED AVI files as your SOURCE. just because Vegas ACCEPTS the file imported, doesn't mean it will play nicely FOREVER. you can usually convert them using Vegas, or VirtualDub if they are AVIs already. if not, then you can try loading them using AVS, for compatibility's sake. using AVS will take slightly longer, but will be more compatible wioth Vegas.
one more thing. it will be faster if you are rendering to a SECOND hard drive, instead of the one with the source files. if that is a possibility, go for it.
If it does not work here is another option: download a codec pack, then you can render.wmv and then convert it with bestfreevideoconverter to a mp4. Heres the codec link: http://codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
IF IT STILL DOES NOT WORK
here is another option "but when i render it until 16% it was overheated and shutdown itself, is there a ways to fix it?"
"well, i using the "power option" in control panel (using the advanced setting) .On "processor power management" click on "Maximum processor state" changing the percentage into 10% thats all "
