Showing how to take a Sibelius file, and export an electronic recording of it. I am using Sibelius 6, but this should work fine in older versions of Sibelius, and it will probably work in versions yet to come. Sibelius in Windows gives you the option to export as a .wav file, and I believe Mac exports to .aiff, but I could be wrong about that one. Go to File -- Export -- Audio Decide whether or not you want to record from the beginning or where you have the playback line. Click yes if you want to record from the beginning. Choose the location and the filename you want, and export it. Audacity is a free cross-platform (it works in Windows, Mac, and even Linux) open-source audio editing program. You can download it here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ On a Mac, you can just as easily (I believe) use Garage Band, which comes free with your Mac.
