Buying the Adventure Pass still requires you to play through the season and unlock the rewards in the Spirit Maps, you just have access to more cosmetics than do those without the Adventure Pass. You are not given all the cosmetics all at once, though you are given the opportunity to buy them (by buying seasonal candles) more quickly, or at least with less effort.
