Horseback Riding

Horseback riding takes place on in- and outdoor riding rings and in free nature. The leisure time rider mostly rides outdoors, whereas the professional tournament rider uses the riding ring.Before riding the horse, a saddle is placed on the horse's back to assure a safe footing for the rider and to spread the pressure of the rider's weight equally on the horse's back. The disciplines in horse back riding are generally divided into dressage, show jumping, eventing, western riding and the riding of horse races and vaulting. Further, there are competitions where the condition of horse and rider are in focus.Some examples are endurance riding, trekking and hunting. Horseback riding requires a lot of time. To become a good rider the rider has to practice a lot.
