It's that campfire argument that is never really settled. Sure, there are varied opinions, but there hasn't really been a definitive conclusion as to which tow vehicle is the best of the lot. Until now, that is... CAR and Leisure Wheels magazines' TOWCAR OF THE YEAR aims to settle the argument. The magazines, in partnership with Campworld and Beekman Canopies, gathered eight expert judges to pilot 12 popular 4x2 double-cab bakkies, each towing a Sprite Tourer SC caravan loaded to its maximum weight of 1 370 kg, over a set route. So, which bakkie was voted the best by our panel of judges? Did a new kid on the block claim the prize? Or did the old guard still rule the roost?
