My latest build, similar to the .22 single shot scrap metal build, but with some changes to profile and internals, as well as use of 304 stainless steel for the frame and fire control parts with 4140 chromoly for the barrel block, and some D-2 for small parts. To be done are the carbon fiber grip panels, but it is otherwise a finished project. This build was done over 9 evenings, totaling around 40 hours. 304 stainless is much more difficult to work and thus much slower going than the aluminum and mild steel I used in the .22, and the more complex internals also took additional time.
