HOBO STOVE CONSTRUCTION TUTORIAL - HOBO STOVE FOR TRAVELING by STOVE MODS In this video I show you how to make a hobo stove for traveling. Therefore I used a can made of stainless steel with an appropriate size. Diameter - 12,5 centimeters Height - 17 centimeters Volume - 1,8 liters You will see how to mark the ventilation holes before cutting them out. The intake holes are slightly bigger than the exit holes to cause a little bit of compression in the burning chamber and allow a more efficient fire. When creating the feeding hole I made sure its size, shape and position do not compromise the compression too much and allow some secondary air at the right spot to make the fire burn better. Also I made sure that it is placed high enough to be able to feed the fire from above. Then I cut the grid into the right shape. In the end I make a construction out of a coat-hanger that allows to place a pot on the stove that has a smaller diameter than the stove without falling into the stove. In my Opinion this is the ideal hobo stove for travelling. Although it is a simple construction I put in all my knowledge and planned it more precisely than any other stove. Also I was picky about size, shape and quality of the used material. The stove is light, stable, small enough to put in a rucksack and big enough to have a good fire. A diy hobo stove or diy woodgas stove is a great solution for outdoor cooking or camping.
