Highlights of UK Toy Dog Show & British breed features

The new episode of Around the Dog World comes from the country’s premier Toy show, UK Toydog. Watch highlights of all the action from the main ring including Best in Show, Best Puppy and Best Veteran. The programme is on Horse & Country TV next Thursday (May 7 2015) at 8pm, and will be online at www.dogworld.tv the next day; but if you can't wait watch the teaser above to see what to expect. Some exclusive and emotional interviews with the Best in Show winners and judge show how much wins at the specialist show mean to people in the group. Alongside all the judging in the main ring, the cameras turn their attention to a couple of breeds in the group to learn about them in detail from undisputed breed experts. First we hear from Bert Easdon and Phillip Martin to take us over the Pekingese, then the judge and Best of Breed winner in Yorkshire Terriers, Richard Haynes and Sergio Amien give us the points of their breed. It is United Kingdom Toydog, so a couple of British natives outside the group also get a close up. A fascinating visit to Saredon to meet John Averis and learn about the Welsh Terrier, and a sit down with Gordon and Penny Williams of Bournehouse English Setters. Analysis of all the action at Stafford County Showground is from Mike Gadsby and Di Johnson, Around the Dog World is presented by Simon Baillie.
