HGSS Vermilion City (Reorchestrated)

Ahh! A wild HappyDragonite appears and everybody is like “wow thought he was dead for sure what gives” and this time I have a legitimate excuse for my sudden absence, and I can happily blame Logic 9, which decided to not let me render my projects out. Well, I fixed it, so not I’m back, and with a project I started two years ago and never finished until two weeks ago! Vermilion City’s music from Gen II and HGSS always captured my imagination for some reason. It’s so quaint, and really sounds like it belongs in a little coastal city. I went for a more simple arrangement this time, but I drew a lot of inspiration from nature believe it or not. I wanted to sort-of allow the piece to move and flow like the ocean does, so hopefully you’ll pick up on that, and if not hopefully you’ll not think I’m crazy (which spoiler alert: am). Sorry for the inconvenience. Q: What do you use to produce your music? A: High quality samples a la Kontakt 5, my wits, and Logic Pro 9. For video editing I use iMovie 9 (because the new one is impossible to figure out because I’m old and I don’t know how new fangled things work), and for image editing I use Pixelmator, which is a fantastic image editor for Mac, and doesn’t cost a bajillion dollars like Photoshop. Q: Can I use your music in a video / monetized video? A: Absolutely. You don’t even need to ask my permission, just add a link to my channel in the description of your video and it’s all good.
