The full report of our summer vacation in Italy. We went to three different locations (Liguria, northern Tuscany and the Dolomites), where we found lots of awesome reptiles and amphibians, from snakes till newts. All the herps: SNAKES: - Aesculpian snake (zamenis longissimus or elaphe longissima) x2 - Grass snake (natrix natrix) x5 - Western whip snake (hierophis viridiflavus) x2 (not filmed, they escaped before we could catch them) LIZARDS: - Western green lizard (lacerta bilineata) x6 - Common wall lizard (podarcis muralis) x? (30+) - Slow worm (anguis fragilis) x6 - Viviparous lizard (zootoca vivipara) x4 AMPHIBIANS - Italian alpine newt (ichthyosaura alpestris apuanus) x? (30+) - Common toad (bufo bufo) adults x3, juveniles/tadpoles x?
