The rain which was drizzling last night turned into a heavy downpour in the wee hours between 2 to 5. Bengaluru has been witnessing incessant rains in the last few days and last night was no different. The rains refused to die down and as always several low-lying areas were the first casualty. After another night of heavy rainfall, many residents across parts of the city woke up to flooded roads and inundated homes. BBMP control rooms received many distress calls from citizens. The Meteorological Department says rains will pick up again in the coming days. Showers are likely as there is a depression around Gujarat and Maharashtra. The city witnessed heavy rains in the wee hours between 2 to 5. Several low-lying areas have been left inundated. Areas that were severely hit with the rains are Shantinagar, Majestic, Malleswaram, JC Nagar, RT Nagar, MG Road, Halasuru.
