These are children who in one moment were playing with their toys and the next are struggling to accept the destruction of everything they once loved. They have no involvement in the politics that led to this war. They are just kids. Kids whose innocence is forever tainted by the horrors of warfare. And many of these kids are in the brink of losing their lives due to lack of food and medical supplies. There is no good reason their lives should be cut so short and I can’t just simply ignore it because it is happening on the other side of the world. This is OUR world, our brothers and our sisters. What happens to them is happening to us. I know many people would rather turn the other way but if it weren’t for people who care enough to help, thousands more would die. Every contribution helps save a life in Syria and represents the love and empathy this world needs to heal this planet. So, me and my partner created this charity to donate to two organizations that are actively saving children on a daily basis. Mercy USA has been actively helping since 2012 and ensuring that hundreds of families have food to eat and supplies such as winter clothing, winter mats and sleeping mattresses. On top of providing these winter necessities, Mercy is installing eco friendly stoves that will keep families warm throughout the winter. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) are in the frontlines of war providing medical care to thousands of people who desperately need it. But since they’ve begun working there, many of their facilities have been bombed and have deprived thousands of Syrians of medical care. But they haven’t retreated. They remain there saving the lives of as many people as possible. But these two non-profit organizations cannot do this without us. Doctors Without Borders and Mercy USA are only able to help as many people they can through the donations they recieve. People who care enough to contribute are the reason these organizations can operate. So lets help them continue to save lives and Syria. Lets save lives together.
