Welcome to Audiology SLP Forum, A best way to learn.
The Purpose of this video is to aware people about Hearing. Hearing conservation program is designed to protect workers with significant occupational noise exposures from hearing impairment even if they are subject to such noise exposures over their entire working lifetimes.
This Video is created by Dr. Dnyanada Potdar (Audiologist and Speech Therapist), Hear Well Clinic Powai, Mumbai on the Day of “World Hearing Day” March 3rd.
Wearing earplugs and earmuffs can protect your hearing on the job. Noise at work that is above 85 decibels can damage your ears. One-time exposures that are very loud can cause lasting (permanent) hearing damage.
Once noise permanently damages the nerve endings in the inner ear, there's really no way to fix your hearing. Even a hearing aid can't completely correct it.
Under rules from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), employers must offer hearing protection when sound levels average more than 85 decibels in an 8-hour day.
We also discuss about how we protect our Hearing from Loud Exposure of Noise, and treatment after any type of hearing loss.
