The Providence Health Care Research Institute (PHCRI) is the research arm of Providence Health Care. As a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University, we take pride in our research programs that actively explore areas of research to improve the health of people within our community. We believe this research not only makes for a robust learning environment, but it also leads to better patient care. The integration of research, education and care is what makes our Institute's mission a possibility. Established in 2005, PHCRI promotes research activities throughout all of its research centres: James Hogg Research Centre, BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, Centre for Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences, Centre for Healthy Aging at Providence, and Centre for Practitioner Renewal.
