One in every 2000 births amongst children is born intersex, a condition where a child has a reproductive anatomy that doesn’t seem to fit the typical definition of either male or female. Such is a congenital anomaly that happens earlier on during pregnancy. Many of these conditions according to experts are not life threatening, some however may need a surgery to assign a person their true sex.
