Harz Railway Part 1

Harz Railway Parts 1, 2 & 3 Footage taken during June 2014 on my first visit to the Harz. The opening shot is of The Brocken, at 3743 ft, the highest part of the Harz Mountains and the destination of most trains from Wernigerode. Scenes then follow of the 2-10-2T and Mallet locos at the locomotive depot and around Wernigerode. Next come shots from the train to Drei Annen Hohne followed by footage around the busy junction at Drei Annen Hohne itself. In part 3 are shots taken at The Brocken and around Shierke. Apologies for the odd off-vertical shot when the tripod is not being used. Although the weather during the visit was excellent, the high temperatures meant little steam/smoke was forthcoming.
