HARRISBURG, Pa. -- The search is on for those involved in a Harrisburg stabbing that sent one man to the hospital.
Harrisburg police are investigating the early-Friday morning stabbing just a few blocks from where a woman was shot Thursday afternoon.
Police said one man was stabbed and sent to the hospital. Police on the scene said his injuries appeared to be very serious.
No arrests have yet been made in the stabbing case, police said.
The scene unfolded at the corner of 7th and Emerald streets just after midnight.
Police scoured the area looking for evidence left behind in the early morning stabbing.
Much of the focus of the investigation centered around a Toyota Corolla which the victim was found leaning up against after being stabbed three times in the back. Blood was found all over the car and on the ground below.
After the stabbing, the male victim was taken to Hershey Medical Center to be treated for serious injuries. At this point, officers are not sure of his condition, but police on the scene stressed that he didn't look good.
It took officers about two and a half hours to gather evidence before clearing the scene. Now, the work begins to start building some suspect information.
Police are not releasing much information about any potential suspects. It's just too early to tell.
Police are also not saying if there is any connection to the other shooting that happened just blocks away on 6th and Dauphin streets Wednesday afternoon. Although, early indications made it sound like the two scenes may not be related. All of this remains under investigation.
