GUN CONTROL: WHY YOU CAN'T COMPARE AUSTRALIA AND THE U.S

**Note: A mass shooting is 4 or more people SHOT (not killed, as I wrongly stated). Consistently, people look to Australia as the shining example of gun control. But why is that not entirely the case? Other shootings referenced: - The Hope Forest Massacre - Melbourne Gangland Shootings There were a number of other mass murders in the last number of years in Australia - they weren't included in this video. All statistics are from government reports and the ABS (in addition to the history of gun violence in Australia - which can be found with some Google searching). The 2nd Amendment says the following: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." There is also a lot of debate over the meaning of this phrase. But the 2nd Militia Act of 1792 defines "well regulated" as owning a gun, gun powder and 20 - 40 bullets (primarily). In the 1700s "well regulated" meant "in working order" and/or "not restricted by [many] laws". As of 2018, Australia has had 8 mass shootings since 2002.
