So with all things passing, I wondered how much time I might have left in my own little life on Earth. Then in 2012, my Mom ‘moved on’ as well, once again a stark reminder of the brevity of our little visit in this world... and so, as also my lifetime’s candle burns ever nearer the end of its wick, in recent times, alongside ever new creations, I’ve begun to polish a few ole gems – such as this one – from my personal treasure trove of inspirations... reflecting meaningful experiences, thoughts and emotions along my life’s path on Earth.“ _________________________________________________ About Kalle's guitars in the video: The actual guitar that burned (Kalle’s customized “Eureka!” Kramer strat featuring several of his inventions, with which he won Guitar Player magazine's international guitar competition in 1989) is seen transforming from shortly before to after the fire, followed by the “Foenix” Fender strat (won in G.I.T./Fender’s international guitar competition in 1987) that Kalle customized in 1991 after the fire (created philosophical carvings on the instrument’s body, neck and headstock, carved figurative volume & tone control knobs from the remains of the burnt guitar, and installed a special pickup configuration he invented) and played on this recording in 1993, portrayed with wings.
