Gudavi Bird Sanctuary

The film starts with a rare sequence of a family of Roofus Woodpeckers feeding on crematogastor ants and the drama around it. Intimate sequences of the family of Little Grabe shape and pace the film. The radio is still the main source of information for the villagers here. The film has innovatively used this medium to progress the plot. For them, the birds are, in fact, a more reliable source than the radio in predicting rains. The film uses this unusual relationship, between the farmers of Gudavi and the birds, to tell the story of conservation and co-existence.
