Visited Guatavita in Colombia, this is a Colonial town known as "Guatativa la Nueva", built in the 1960's, the original Guatavita was located near the Tomine reservoir however it was flooded and then rebuilt as a complete replica of the original town. All buildings are required to be painted white and is located near Laguna De Guatavita which is about 10,000 + feet above sea level and hosts the ancient lake believed to be used by the Muisca Indigenous Confederation to sacrifice gold to their deities.
