The Golden Wonder Killifish is a freshwater aquarium fish that is native to India. It is also known as the Malabar killi, or the striped panchax. It is one of the larger killifish species. Its scientific name is Aplocheilus lineatus, and it is one of the easier species to keep, feed, and breed. In this high definition video, these beautiful killifish are seen jumping out of the water to catch live crickets from a branch several inches above them. The video also explains some of the unique adaptations that enable this killi to hunt in the dark, as well as how to tell a male from a female. It also explains the functions and survival value of it's third eye. In a follow up video that is soon to be released I will look at how to breed this killi.
