A significant weather system passed over the north west of Ireland on 22nd August 2017 depositing one months average rainfall in one day. Significant landslides within the Glenelly catchment resulted in the mass movement of materials from the uplands to the valley floor. Huge volumes of rocks and finer materials blocked bridges and watercourses forcing the water and debris onto the floodplain. The drone footage highlights the impacts on the land and wider catchment.
